What you will do

• Architect, implement, and maintain control systems for factory and test infrastructure, including sensors and actuators.
• Develop Python-based control software for data acquisition, real-time control loops, and hardware communication (Modbus, CAN, TCP/IP).
• Conduct initial bring-up, debugging, and refinement of new control systems on the production floor.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and test engineers to develop cross-disciplinary hardware solutions.
• Create technical system documentation, operator manuals, and safety test procedures.
• Ensure all control systems comply with industrial safety standards for fast-paced factory environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying real-world control systems in test or production.
• Strong proficiency in Python for automation and control applications.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, RS-485).
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, industrial PCs, or embedded control systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineering.
• Compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations (must be a U.S. Person).

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience with NI hardware/software, SCADA systems, or real-time data logging.
• Exposure to safety standards such as OSHA, NFPA 79, or ISO 13849.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Linux-based workflows.
