Location: Melville, New York, USA; scheduled onsite Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Salary: USD 69,000–73,000 yearly

What you will do

• Plan, organize, facilitate, and evaluate social engagement and recreation programs for the community.
• Develop individualized activities that support residents’ emotional, social, physical, spiritual, and intellectual well-being.
• Coordinate programs across memory care, assisted living, and independent living areas, including events, outings, educational programs, games, and spiritual services.
• Lead and supervise the Life Enrichment Team, including hiring, training, performance management, and goal setting.
• Coordinate volunteers, local partnerships, resident and family involvement, and participation in Resident Council meetings.
• Prepare department budgets, manage resources, use the community vehicle for outings, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years of supervisory experience and/or training in developing and leading social engagement programs for senior living.
• High school diploma or higher education preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn new applications, and work flexible hours.
• Previous experience with dementia populations is preferred; ADC or CTRS certification is preferred.
