Utility & Facility Engineer

Location: On-site in Turnhout, Belgium

What you will do

• Coordinate, operate, and administer utility and facility services for the Turnhout plant and office.
• Organize and oversee repairs and maintenance for building assets and utilities, including mechanical, electrical, pumping, automation, air-conditioning, fire, and security systems.
• Monitor the quality and progress of work performed by internal staff and external contractors, reporting defects and irregularities.
• Assess utility, facility, and equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacements while managing parts inventory.
• Manage the safety of on-site engineering work, conduct periodic checks and testing, and support maintenance planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an engineer in a utility or facility environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-analysis, and situation-appraisal skills.
• Ability to influence others, work across functions, make autonomous decisions, and collaborate proactively.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and feedback skills.
