Intermediate BMS/EMS Engineer

Location: Office-based in Niel, Belgium; travel to client workshops and construction sites is required

What you will do

• Manage client interfaces, understand project requirements, and present BMS/EMS designs at BOD, IFT, and IFC stage gates.
• Design control systems, system architectures, instrumentation, and project documentation across BMS/EMS platforms.
• Develop I/O lists, HVAC and utility sequences of operation, scopes of work, functional specifications, hardware specifications, and cost estimates.
• Manage BMS/EMS contractors by reviewing technical queries, submittals, panel drawings, wiring diagrams, and compliance with design intent.
• Review and approve FAT and SAT documentation and witness panel and site testing when required.
• Coordinate across disciplines, manage multiple projects and deliverables, solve engineering issues, and coach junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Building Services, Automation Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a technical diploma or apprenticeship with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience with BMS/EMS systems and experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, data center, healthcare, or GMP manufacturing facilities.
• Understanding of GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211, and Annex 11.
• General knowledge of network configuration, computer hardware and software, automation applications, and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam, CAD, BIM, or Revit systems, with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; Dutch and/or French is advantageous.
