Controller (Medtech)

Location: Atlanta, GA; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus

Company

Medical device technology business developing and manufacturing home sleep apnea testing products and related cardiopulmonary care technologies.

What you will do

• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry reviews, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, payments, provisioning, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes.
• Supervise and manage the accounting department, including training employees on Microsoft Dynamics.
• Review and approve vendor payments, travel expenses, and expense reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and interactions with tax authorities.
• Develop accounting procedures and complete ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller, or at least 2 years of leadership experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
• Strong accounts payable experience and ability to work independently as both a team leader and individual contributor.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience with Salesforce.com.
