Space Systems Engineer (Space)

Location: hirify.global France in Toulouse, with hybrid working of up to 2 remote days per week. Candidates must be eligible and registered to work within Europe and be eligible to obtain security clearance in France.

What you will do

• Act as mission architect and facilitate system-level design trade-offs with subsystem engineers and project managers.
• Analyse satellite system designs and maintain mass, power, and data budgets.
• Define and maintain requirements, design compliance, verification activities, and subsystem procurement specifications.
• Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including CONOPS, verification and validation plans, and system test plans.
• Support bids, early mission design, AIT, launch campaigns, and in-orbit satellite commissioning.
• Provide technical guidance to spacecraft operations teams during critical mission events.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of commercial space systems engineering experience.
• Understanding of the critical subsystems comprising a satellite mission and ability to perform complex trade-offs.
• Experience with requirements management and system-level analysis.
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to coordinate subsystem leads and review partner inputs.
• Fluent French and English, eligibility to work within Europe, and eligibility to obtain security clearance in France are required.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of attitude and orbit control systems, AIT, mission operations, or ESA missions.
• Experience with STK, GMAT, IDM-CIC, Python, Visure, or FMECA.
