Battlefield Simulation System Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Marseille Area, with the role based at the Marignane site in France

What you will do

• Coordinate battlefield simulation activities across ENGRT2, NGRC, and research and technology projects with European industry partners.
• Define operational scenarios, threat environments, CONOPS, and hierarchical metrics for near-, mid-, and far-term missions.
• Architect mission threads and mission engineering threads using MBSE, Cameo, UAF, and SysML.
• Design and execute operational simulations with VR-Forces, including trade-space exploration and sensitivity analysis under contested or degraded conditions.
• Test and validate simulation components, scenarios, and system performance against requirements and standards.
• Develop high-level requirements and CONOPS documentation and train architects, project teams, and chief engineers.

Requirements

• Comprehensive systems engineering, operational analysis, and functional analysis experience.
• Experience with MBSE, modelling and simulation, and simulation lifecycle activities; Cameo and CATIA experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of aeronautics, helicopter dynamics, military operations, and system-of-systems engineering.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional and transnational teams, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• French and English at negotiation level are required.
• Security clearance is required because of military security, French-eyes-only, data-classification, and export-control constraints.

Nice to have

• Aircraft program operations experience.
• Agile methodology experience, including Scrum or SAFe.
• Experience with geospatial data integration, terrain modelling, physics modelling, or computational fluid dynamics.
• Experience with C++, Python, Lua, AI, machine learning, virtual reality, augmented reality, or UX and interface design.
