Flight Control & Autopilot Systems Testing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Toulouse Area, France; on-site testing across laboratory benches, aircraft integration simulators, and flight-test aircraft

What you will do

• Analyze, challenge, and harmonize test requests according to the overall test strategy.
• Define and write test procedures and test cases for flight control laws, software, and related system designs.
• Build representative test scenarios based on airline operational procedures.
• Perform testing on dedicated benches and simulators, analyze results, and prepare test reports.
• Support flight tests through real-time telemetry analysis and report and classify identified issues.
• Collaborate with the Design Office, Flight Test Engineers, and Programmes while contributing to automation, big data analytics, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in aeronautics or a related field, with 3–6 years of experience in system testing or development.
• Experience or knowledge of system testing and flight mechanics.
• Python coding skills and analytical capabilities in data science or data analysis.
• Advanced French and English proficiency required.
• Proactive, rigorous, open-minded, and able to communicate and synthesize information effectively.
• Strong team spirit and willingness to investigate technical challenges.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of aircraft operations or flying experience, such as PPL or ATP.
• Experience in embedded system design or computer science.
