Thermal Engineer (Space Systems)

Location: hirify.global France, Toulouse, with hybrid working of up to 2 remote days per week

What you will do

• Capture thermal requirements and system constraints for hot and cold operating cases.
• Support the thermal control system architecture through thermal analyses and trade-offs with structural and mechanical constraints.
• Develop and maintain thermal and geometrical models, including GMM and TMM models.
• Manage thermal analysis packages, design justification activities, and test preparation.
• Plan, execute, and analyze thermal test campaigns to validate models and designs.
• Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of commercial experience as a thermal engineer working on space systems design and analysis.
• Experience with thermal analysis tools such as ESATAN-TMS or Systema Thermica.
• Strong understanding of planning, executing, and evaluating thermal tests.
• Ability to demonstrate technical leadership and work effectively in project teams.
• Professional English at C1 level or higher.

Nice to have

• University degree in physics, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of Python, VBA, Matlab, or batch scripting.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Experience in mechanical, mechanisms, or electrical engineering.
