Senior PCB Designer (PCB Layout)

What you will do

• Lead complex PCB layouts from concept through fabrication, including stack-up development, component placement, routing, and documentation.
• Apply advanced layout principles to high-speed digital, RF, mixed-signal, high-voltage, and high-current designs.
• Collaborate with signal integrity, power integrity, electrical, and mechanical engineers on impedance control, length matching, crosstalk mitigation, differential pairs, and power distribution.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, testability, performance, cost, schedule, EMI/EMC, and safety requirements.
• Generate and verify fabrication and assembly documentation, including ODB++, IPC-2581, and Gerber outputs.
• Develop PCB standards, templates, libraries, and guidelines; mentor designers and manage customer-facing projects through manufacturing release.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in high-complexity PCB layout design, owning projects from concept through production.
• Expert proficiency in Altium Designer.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IPC-7351, IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-A-600, and IPC-6012.
• Advanced signal integrity knowledge, including impedance control, electromagnetic field theory, crosstalk mitigation, and differential/common-mode signal management.
• Experience with analog, digital, RF, power circuit layout, PCB manufacturing processes, technical communication, independent work, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• CID+ certification.
• Experience with HyperLynx, Keysight ADS, or similar SI/PI analysis tools.
• Experience designing flex and rigid-flex PCBs.
• Scripting experience with Python, SKILL, or similar tools for design automation.
• Knowledge of AI tools, regulatory standards, or additional EDA platforms such as Cadence Allegro or Mentor PADS.
