Senior Product Owner – Insurance Domain (Insurance Technology)

What you will do

• Define product vision, strategy, roadmaps, measurable outcomes, and release priorities for digital insurance products.
• Lead discovery workshops and translate insurance workflows, business rules, data needs, integrations, and controls into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Own and prioritize the Agile product backlog based on business value, customer impact, risk, dependencies, urgency, and team capacity.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, data, UX, QA, business users, vendors, and leadership throughout delivery.
• Support product demonstrations, user acceptance testing, training, release readiness, and post-launch improvement.
• Analyze product adoption, data quality, integrations, exceptions, and business outcomes to improve usability, accessibility, security, reliability, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Product Lead, or similar role delivering software or digital products.
• Strong knowledge of insurance operations and terminology, including policies, endorsements, renewals, claims, underwriting, premiums, exposures, billing, and financial transactions.
• Experience translating complex business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business rules, and functional requirements.
• Hands-on experience managing and prioritizing a product backlog in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, stakeholder-management, analytical, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of data mapping, transformation rules, APIs, error handling, exception management, retry mechanisms, and AI tools; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or comparable tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance brokerage or commercial insurance technology and workflows.
• Familiarity with policy administration, CRM, document management, finance, billing, or client-servicing platforms.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Salesforce, Sagitta, SQL, or comparable query tools.
• Technical exposure to software development, web technologies, data platforms, or systems integration.
• Relevant product, Agile, Scrum, business analysis, insurance, or project management certification.
