Product Owner (Insurance)

What you will do

• Own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, and feedback.
• Translate business objectives into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable requirements.
• Collaborate with technical resources and the Scrum squad to research solutions, clarify features, and remove blockers.
• Participate in Sprint Planning, Reviews, Demonstrations, and Retrospectives.
• Accept or reject sprint deliverables against predefined criteria and provide constructive feedback.
• Track sprint-level KPIs and identify opportunities for product and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in customer service, technical support, application support, or insurance.
• Understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
• Experience with product management or business analysis.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, prioritization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• CSPO, PMI-ACP, PSPO, or an appropriate certification.
• Intermediate knowledge of CRM platforms such as Dynamics or Salesforce.
• Intermediate knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and Scrum frameworks.
• Intermediate knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Experience supporting business applications in a production environment.
