Field Service Engineer - Chicago, IL

Location: Fully remote in the Chicago area, United States, supporting customers across the greater Northwest US states. The role requires up to 60% domestic travel by air or car, with occasional international travel and overnight stays.

Salary: $39.00–$43.00 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.

What you will do

• Manage customer accounts and build professional relationships with external and internal customers.
• Provide field service support for a diverse technical product portfolio.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve customer equipment issues.
• Propose process improvements that enhance internal and external customer processes.
• Travel by air and car to customer sites, including overnight stays when required.

Requirements

• Associate degree plus 2+ years of field service experience, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering, biology, or a related field; equivalent military experience is also accepted.
• Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, and repair skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong professional communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, or place up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, kneeling, stair climbing, and reaching.
