Service Technician (Medical Devices)

Location: Skaneateles, New York, United States; onsite work in the Product Service Depot

Salary: $44,800–$61,600 per year

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, calibration, and software updates on computer-based and electro-mechanical medical devices.
• Conduct functional, safety, and performance testing using diagnostic and measurement equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions, determine root causes, and escalate issues requiring additional technical support.
• Document service findings, test results, maintenance activities, and repair actions in designated systems.
• Disassemble, assemble, inspect, disinfect, reprocess, package, and prepare devices and spare parts for shipment.
• Follow quality management requirements, work instructions, safety procedures, and depot operating standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, work instructions, and service procedures.
• Experience with basic hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Basic knowledge of test and measurement equipment, including digital multimeters and power supplies.
• Computer proficiency for entering service data, maintaining records, and using multiple software applications.
• Ability to perform basic calculations, lift up to 40 pounds, operate material-handling equipment, and handle cleaning solutions and returned medical devices.
