Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States; onsite field support is required in active industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities.

What you will do

• Design instrumentation, control, and automation systems for industrial process facilities.
• Prepare P&IDs, wiring diagrams, design documentation, control narratives, and sequences of operation.
• Size instruments and control valves and develop equipment data sheets.
• Review vendor submittals and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients.
• Provide engineering support during construction, startup, and commissioning in active facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 4+ years of professional instrumentation and controls experience.
• Working knowledge of PLC- and SCADA-based control systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 and UL508A standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills; EIT or PE certification is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens, Omron, or DeviceNet control systems.
• Experience supporting semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing facilities.
