Salary: $149,000–$164,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide daily technical support for manufacturing equipment and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control issues.
• Design, install, qualify, and commission automation systems including robotics, cobots, palletizers, dispensing equipment, vision inspection, and OEM systems.
• Integrate equipment with SCADA, AVEVA Wonderware, OSIsoft PI Historian, PLC/HMI platforms, and future MES/EBR systems.
• Manage vendor selection, FAT/SAT, commissioning, project scope, schedules, and quality objectives.
• Create and maintain URS, FRS, change controls, test protocols, drawings, technical documentation, and IQ/OQ/PQ validation packages.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Operations, Facilities, Safety, and R&D to improve reliability, capacity, quality, ergonomics, and error-proofing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 8 years of automation experience, preferably in medical devices, diagnostics, biotech, or another regulated industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and mastery of Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC systems.
• Experience with controls architecture, sensors, instrumentation, motion, communication protocols, SCADA, PI Historian, robotics/cobots, automated systems, and industrial vision.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Minitab, SAP, PLC programming software, and HMI platforms.
• Experience with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, GDP, GMP, validation documentation, and multi-site automation project delivery.

Nice to have

• ISA Certified Automation Professional certification or similar credentials.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Mpulse.
