Salary: $113,053–$151,738 per year, plus a bonus opportunity.

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end process qualification and customer acceptance readiness for advanced deposition and etch systems.
  • Translate customer specifications and manufacturing use cases into validation plans, success criteria, risk assessments, and milestones.
  • Characterize, optimize, and validate thin-film deposition, etch, and metrology processes.
  • Analyze process, equipment, and metrology data to reduce variability and improve process robustness, repeatability, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations and implement validated technical solutions.
  • Prepare qualification reports and technical data packages for internal stakeholders, customers, Factory Acceptance Tests, and onsite inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing, characterizing, optimizing, or qualifying thin-film deposition and etch processes in semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor capital equipment, or related advanced technology environments.
  • Hands-on experience with vacuum-based thin-film processing and characterization methods, including four-point probe, film stress, ellipsometry, profilometry, depth profiling, X-Ray Fluorescence, and film-thickness measurement systems.
  • Experience with ion-source technologies such as Ion Beam Etch, Ion Beam Deposition, Physical Vapor Deposition, or sputtering.
  • Experience applying Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, Measurement System Analysis, failure analysis, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with magnetic, magnetoresistive, piezoelectric, or other advanced thin-film materials.
