Strategic Finance Lead (Fintech)

Location: Austin, TX — primarily in person

What you will do

• Build and improve financial forecasts, investment models, and debt facility models.
• Analyze business performance, cash flow, revenue, operating expenses, and investment returns.
• Conduct complex ad-hoc analysis across financial, operational, and transaction-level data.
• Reconcile large, imperfect datasets and identify business insights, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
• Support debt and equity financing, lender reporting, investor analysis, and strategic projects.
• Automate financial and operational workflows using AI, SQL, Python, and other tools, and communicate recommendations to executives and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–8 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, strategic finance, investment research, data analytics, or another highly analytical field.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets capabilities.
• Strong understanding of finance, cash flow, and basic accounting.
• Exceptional curiosity, ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently through ambiguous problems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex findings clearly.

Nice to have

• SQL, Python, Snowflake, AI or automation tools, capital markets, debt structures, or startup experience.
