(Senior) Director, People Business Partnership

Location: New York City only; approximately 3 days per week in person at the Gramercy office, with some remote flexibility

What you will do

• Serve as the first formal People Business Partner and work directly with department heads to identify needs and deliver impactful people initiatives.
• Build the People Business Partnership function from scratch, including its org structure, responsibilities, roles, and hiring plan.
• Hire and manage the initial People Business Partner team as the function scales.
• Set the function’s strategy and vision, define success metrics, and lead project, product, and planning roadmaps.
• Partner with executives, department heads, and People leadership on organizational design, performance management, employee experience, and talent density.
• Lead cross-functional projects that support hirify.global’s growth and talent strategy.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience combining strategy work, such as management consulting, business operations, or financial services, with startup experience.
• Direct People and Talent experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong people instincts and communication skills, with the ability to influence Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders.
• Strategic, data-driven, and first-principles approach to solving ambiguous problems.
• Operational excellence, strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Collaborative, cross-functional approach and enthusiasm for 0→1 and 1→10 work.
