Reconciliations Team Leader (Fintech)

Location: Manchester, UK; hybrid working with at least 50% of working time per month in the office. New starters initially work full-time from the office.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day reconciliation function and oversee accurate, timely completion of reconciliation activities.
• Oversee CASS funding and SIPP rebalancing activities in line with defined control standards.
• Monitor exceptions, break trends, management information, funding exposures, breaches, and emerging risks.
• Own the reconciliation platform and automated controls as the technical subject matter expert.
• Design, build, test, and implement reconciliations, automation solutions, and control enhancements.
• Lead, coach, and develop Administrators and Senior Administrators while managing workloads, performance, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Experience leading, coaching, and developing operational teams.
• Detailed knowledge of reconciliation methodologies, break management, and exception management.
• Understanding of FCA CASS requirements, particularly CASS 6, 7, 8, and 10.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, resolve control failures, and interpret management information and trend analysis.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, prioritisation, planning, and organisational skills.

Nice to have

• CISI Investment Operations Certificate, including the CASS module.
• CII or other relevant financial services qualifications.
