Software Engineer 2 - Risk Management (Fintech)

Location: New York, New York

Base pay: $136,000–$184,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, maintainable, high-performing software for the Fintech Risk Platform using React and/or Java with Spring Boot.
• Build AI-enhanced applications using GenAI concepts and frameworks.
• Analyze and mitigate risks across the Fintech ecosystem by implementing compliance measures and risk strategies.
• Develop risk data pipelines, statistical models, AI/ML solutions, and analytics capabilities.
• Define metrics and build executive dashboards with product managers and analytics partners.
• Run A/B tests and experiments to improve platform efficiency and support data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with React and/or Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI concepts and frameworks such as OpenAI, GPT, SageMaker, or Bedrock.
• Knowledge of AWS, CI/CD, DevOps, Python, SQL, data visualization, risk analytics, and compliance strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and data storytelling skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in risk and compliance within financial platforms.
• Master’s degree in a technical field.
