Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, with at least 3 days per week at the downtown San Francisco hub. A Toronto hybrid hub is also available.

Salary: US$190,000–US$250,000 in San Francisco; CA$150,000–CA$215,000 in Toronto. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Build and launch new products that improve personal injury workflows.
• Develop and deploy core software and foundational product infrastructure.
• Ship production-ready code quickly and solve complex engineering problems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data engineering, DevOps, and other departments.
• Work across backend, frontend, machine learning, data engineering, and DevOps initiatives.
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture through project ownership and mentoring.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in backend or frontend engineering.
• Several years of experience building high-quality software and production infrastructure.
• Experience with relational databases or other database technologies.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas and issues clearly and practically.
• Experience owning projects from start to finish and delivering them to completion.
• Demonstrated success mentoring and developing teammates.

• Kubernetes experience.
