Salary: $40.50–$64.80 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and deliver unit-based education, classroom instruction, skills assessments, competency assessments, and just-in-time bedside teaching.
• Lead orientation, annual competency planning, education plans, and new-hire progress monitoring.
• Monitor quality and safety data, identify clinical practice gaps, and develop action plans with operational leaders.
• Lead interdisciplinary process-improvement teams and collaborate with physicians and nursing leadership on practice changes.
• Mentor and implement evidence-based practice and clinical research projects, translating findings into practice guidelines.
• Coach and mentor staff, advocate for patients and families, and participate in committees and shared leadership activities.

Requirements

• Must hold a Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Illinois.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Master's in Science in Nursing, or commitment to obtain it within four years of assuming the role.
• 3–5 years of experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Certification in a related clinical area, or commitment to obtain certification when eligible.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
