Registered Nurse-Oncology Full Time Nights

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States; full-time night shift

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive assessments, document nursing diagnoses, establish care goals, and evaluate patient responses.
• Coordinate patient care, discharge planning, referrals, medication reconciliation, and patient education.
• Provide oncology nursing interventions using evidence-based practice and safe medication administration.
• Monitor patient conditions, communicate changes, coordinate escalation of care, and collaborate with physicians and hospital services.
• Lead or support patient care technicians, precept new staff, participate in unit safety initiatives, and contribute to quality improvement.
• Maintain complete electronic and paper documentation and use clinical monitoring, medication delivery, and bed management technologies.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Adherence to Illinois nursing regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
