Registered Nurse-Oncology Full Time Weekend Days

Salary: USD 37–59.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide professional inpatient nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, ancillary staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Direct and evaluate the work of assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Document patient responses, care plans, communications, and outcomes in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Additional emergency department requirements may include ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and TNCC within one year of hire.
• Additional pediatric emergency requirements may include Pediatric Advanced Life Support and TNCC within one year of hire.

Nice to have

• Experience in the specific clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
• PALS and ACLS for the Prepost PACU department.
