Focus on directing staff, responding to critical situations, monitoring patient outcomes, and improving unit operations during night shifts.

Location: 245 E. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL, United States; full-time night shift

Salary: USD 42.50–68.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Coordinate interdisciplinary patient care, patient flow, staffing, and resource utilization for the assigned shift.
  • Assign and direct staff nurses and support personnel to deliver safe, high-quality, cost-effective care.
  • Provide direct nursing care, assess biopsychosocial and learning needs, and monitor patient responses to treatment.
  • Respond to critical situations involving patients, staff, and visitors while escalating issues to managers or administrators as needed.
  • Coordinate quality improvement, incident communication, staffing coverage, and operational recommendations.
  • Support staff orientation, development, communication, and clinical coordination across departments.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois required.
  • At least two years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Magnet-recognized certification or certification obtained within one year is required for NMH; specialty certification is preferred or required depending on the hirify.global entity.
