Senior Network Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Must be within commutable distance to Martinsburg, West Virginia, United States. Travel: 0–10%.

Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, operate, and improve enterprise network and network security solutions at scale.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across multi-layered, multi-vendor environments using packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Implement and manage Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, and F5 technologies, including firewalls, IPS, VPN, and secure remote access.
• Design and support SD-WAN, hybrid connectivity, routing, switching, and cloud networking architectures.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS, as well as AWS and Azure connectivity solutions.
• Automate operational tasks with Shell, Perl, Tcl, and F5 iRules, while maintaining monitoring, testing, diagrams, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing medium- to large-scale networks.
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; visa sponsorship and visa transfers are not available.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, network security, cloud connectivity, packet analysis, scripting, monitoring, and logging.
• Strong analytical, communication, planning, independent execution, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CCNP or CCIE certification in Routing & Switching or an equivalent area.
• Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal agencies.
• Experience with large-scale globally distributed networks.
• Exposure to network modernization or zero trust architectures.
