Salary: $121,000–$191,000 annually; $150,000–$225,000 annually for specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Design, build, secure, and maintain resilient, high-availability network architectures across physical, virtual, and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, firewalls, compute, storage, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure; perform root-cause analysis and corrective maintenance.
• Lead infrastructure initiatives from concept through deployment, including zero-trust architecture, micro-segmentation, wireless networking, and secure remote access.
• Monitor performance and capacity, conduct inspections and backups, and resolve issues before service impact.
• Support vulnerability remediation, incident response, STIGs, Risk Management Framework, and Authorization to Operate compliance activities.
• Maintain network documentation and build automation for provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows while coordinating with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with routing, switching, firewall policies, virtual machines, and enterprise network environments.
• Strong expertise in network security, including firewalls, segmentation, IPsec/TLS encryption, secure remote access, and intrusion detection and prevention.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, VRFs, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, hybrid-cloud networking, VPC/VNet design, and network observability.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, VMware or Hyper-V, high-availability design, failover, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, and incident remediation.
• US citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) are required.
• CompTIA Security+ is required within 45 days of hire; an associate degree or equivalent technical experience, professional certification, after-hours incident response, on-call participation, and up to 15% travel are required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Palo Alto, RHCSA, or comparable professional certifications.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform, cloud-native firewalls, WAFs, ZTNA, SASE, SSE, IAM, and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Knowledge of NIST, CMMC, SOC 2, secure-by-design practices, enterprise virtualization, and multi-vendor infrastructure.
