Registered Nurse - PRN (Occupational Health)

Location: Onsite at a health center in Winchester, Virginia. PRN schedule as needed during clinic hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Salary: $33.60–$42.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners on further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care, maintain medical equipment, and follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient health records and educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the site contract and scope of services.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a four-year college or university.
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
