Registered Nurse - Outpatient Oncology Part-Time Days

Location: 1475 E. Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, Illinois, United States; part-time day shift

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify nursing needs, create care plans, and document measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals, including discharge planning and appropriate referrals.
• Educate patients and families about medications, side effects, treatment plans, patient portals, and available resources.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions and support quality improvement, safety initiatives, and clinical metrics.
• Administer medications safely, use clinical monitoring and medical-record technologies, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support colleagues, patient care technicians, students, and new staff through collaboration, mentoring, precepting, and clinical leadership.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• BSN required; an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow the Illinois Nurse Practice Act, organizational policies, and healthcare regulatory standards.
• Willingness to obtain certification in the nursing specialty of practice.
