Loan Originator Assistant

Salary: Minimum estimated hourly rate of $15.00, plus eligibility for monthly commissions.

What you will do

• Assist with mortgage loan origination, processing, and closing.
• Monitor loan files through closing, research guidelines, and provide documentation to processing and underwriting teams.
• Review files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Meet with prospective borrowers to assess purchase or refinance needs and collect required documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, attorneys, agents, and other referral partners.
• Support the Loan Officer’s marketing efforts and manage day-to-day customer and vendor relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of current mortgage banking or related sales and marketing experience.
• Working knowledge of mortgage loans and loan procedures.
• Current knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines.
• Strong multitasking, communication, interpersonal, organizational, telephone etiquette, and time-management skills.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and internet tools; Encompass experience is preferred.
