Default Loan Servicing Specialist (Mortgage)

Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina, USA; onsite

Salary: $21.24–$28.31 per hour

What you will do

• Process and monitor mortgage claim payments and related servicing activities.
• Ensure claim posting complies with state and federal laws, investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines.
• Monitor loans for required milestones and manage posting instructions across workflow processes and bank accounts.
• Coordinate with attorneys, investors, insurers, and other parties involved in claim payments.
• Prioritize work, follow up on outstanding requests, and resolve issues accurately and on time.
• Monitor exception reporting and maintain quality assurance and operational performance standards.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of cash claim posting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide effective internal and external customer service.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established instructions and practices.
• Experience with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook.

Nice to have

• Experience with ICE MSP and LoanSphere Claims.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and lead staff.
