TL;DR
Project Engineer (Construction): Supporting construction project administration and documentation with an accent on procurement, subcontract scope review, change-order pricing, quality management, and closeout documentation. Focus on coordinating construction drawings, maintaining submittal and RFI logs, reviewing shop drawings, and solving project documentation and field coordination issues.
Location: Fort Lauderdale, United States; on-site construction work with frequent movement around the job site and outdoor work.

What you will do
- Support construction project administration, documentation, procurement, and project closeout.
- Coordinate construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings.
- Review and expedite shop drawings and submittals.
- Identify subcontract scope gaps and assist with pricing change orders.
- Support quality management, punch list maintenance, and project setup in project management software.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards while collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, owners, and project team members.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of relevant construction experience.
- College degree in a relevant field, or relevant field-construction experience with a commitment to obtaining a relevant degree.
- Fundamental understanding of construction project documents.
- Ability to learn under Project Management and Field Supervision staff, identify and solve problems, and collaborate professionally.
- Ability to work consistently on a construction site, including outdoor conditions, ladders, stairs, and moving equipment up to 50 lb.
- Internship experience with an architectural or commercial construction company is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or comparable construction technologies.
- Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and construction technology.
