Project Engineer

Location: Grand Rapids, MI, United States; onsite commercial construction projects

What you will do

• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent with daily jobsite functions, project documentation, reports, and meeting records.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, contract drawing updates, architect reviews, and communication of approved changes.
• Track procurement, materials, deliveries, inspections, and subcontract close-out documentation.
• Coordinate punch-list development with clients and architects and use technology to support completion within 30 days of substantial completion.
• Monitor construction quality, compliance with construction documents, safety requirements, signage, PPE, and site-specific safety initiatives.
• Prepare close-out, turnover, archiving, safety, quality-control, and required material documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least one year of construction industry experience; relevant construction management internships are accepted.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship and takeover of existing employment visa sponsorship are not available.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including drug and background screening, is required.
