Business Analyst (Insurance Rate Calculation)

Location: Hybrid—three days per week in an office in Bethlehem, PA; Hudson Yards, NYC; or Holmdel, NJ, with two days working from home. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $49,260–$73,890 base pay annually, with potential eligibility for incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Participate in status calls, troubleshooting sessions, and cross-functional project meetings.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on rate calculation and rate tables for product, quality assurance, and development teams.
• Help create test scenarios and perform user acceptance and production release testing.
• Update Mainframe- and OpenL-based rate tables for product filings and project enhancements.
• Analyze production issues and provide defect resolutions or manual workarounds to end users.
• Gather stakeholder information, understand business needs, and align business analyst capacity with priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or experience in a similar business analyst role.
• Broad understanding of group insurance strategies, products, and processes.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills across organizational levels.
• Ability to understand customer needs, business demands, and stakeholder interests.
• Ability to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with underwriting, rating, and quoting platforms such as GCRS, CPS, GTAB, or OpenL.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, JIRA, Tableau, or Confluence.
