Technology Business Analyst - Client Data & AUM Reporting

Location: New York, NY; hybrid work. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

hirify.global is an asset management firm whose Technology organization supports Sales Data Management and AUM Reporting platforms.

What you will do

• Partner with Distribution, Finance, Client Data, and Technology stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews, translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Analyze client, account, product, sales, and AUM reporting data across Institutional, Intermediary, LATAM, and EMEA distribution channels.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis for sales hierarchy, attribution, AUM, and flow reporting data.
• Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, deployment, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Prepare process diagrams, presentations, project updates, training materials, and stakeholder communications while using AI-enabled productivity tools to improve delivery efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including work with large datasets.
• SQL proficiency for querying, reconciliation, validation, and analysis.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams and a strong attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with asset management, financial services, banking, wealth management, investment management, or related reporting domains.
• Knowledge of distribution data, AUM reporting, client reporting, sales reporting, investment reporting, or data management.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Tableau, Power BI, or Snowflake.
• Basic Python scripting for data analysis and experience with AI-enabled productivity tools.
