Wind Technician (Wind Power)

Location: Kay Wind Farm, Medford, Oklahoma, United States. On-site wind turbine service is required, with travel of up to 25% to customer sites within the US.

What you will do

• Service and maintain Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at an operating wind farm.
• Work inside turbine enclosures at heights of up to 300 feet and perform physically demanding climbing, lifting, bending, and standing.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems involving electrical systems, PLC programming, and converters.
• Contribute to improved field procedures and standard work methodologies.
• Interact with customers and take on additional responsibilities at the wind farm.
• Maintain composure and follow safety practices in hazardous and extreme-weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience; two or more years of relevant experience are preferred.
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems, PLC programming, and converters.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, prioritize daily and weekly work, and resolve problems independently.
• Ability to climb at least 267 ladder steps, work at elevation, enter confined spaces, and meet the physical demands of the role.
• Must weigh 265 pounds or less and pass a physical examination.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization; a valid passport and driver’s license are required.
