Financial Intelligence Analyst (Workday)

Location: On-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day Workday support for general ledger, financial accounting, close, consolidations, reconciliations, and record-to-report processes.
• Document business requirements, specifications, workflows, processes, and solution recommendations.
• Troubleshoot issues, evaluate real-time data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend configuration and process improvements.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, create test scenarios, support issue resolution, and communicate Workday semi-annual release impacts.
• Lead change management, training, procedure development, and project activities while communicating progress to leadership.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, subject-matter experts, and cross-functional teams to evaluate solutions and improve operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline, and/or at least three years of relevant experience.
• At least two years of experience as an analyst or developing automated solutions, plus two or more years supporting Workday Financial Accounting or record-to-report processes.
• Experience with general ledger, month-end or quarter-end close, reconciliations, consolidations, and intercompany accounting.
• Strong data management, financial planning, problem-solving, documentation, workflow design, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, data analysis, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Comfort with an on-site presence in Grand Rapids, Michigan is required.

Nice to have

• Workday Financial Accounting certification.
• Experience with system integration, advanced analytics, or programming languages.
• Experience in financial services or insurance accounting.
