Intern, Logistics & Fulfillment

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. The primary work environment is a corporate office, with occasional commercial travel and physical requirements including extended sitting or standing and lifting up to 25 lbs.

hirify.global provides the internship within a global logistics and supply chain organization supporting fulfillment, transportation, warehousing, and customer management operations.

What you will do

• Support daily and weekly logistics operating routines, including agendas, pre-reads, action logs, execution reviews, and follow-up tracking.
• Monitor shipments, inventory signals, appointment availability, carrier updates, customer service risks, and operational constraints.
• Build and maintain reporting for service, fill rate, on-time performance, inventory health, transportation cost, transit time, damages, claims, and working capital visibility.
• Validate data, investigate anomalies, summarize trends, and prepare KPI scorecards and leadership-ready updates.
• Maintain standard work, operating procedures, process maps, escalation paths, recovery playbooks, training materials, and job aids.
• Coordinate issue resolution and communications with Logistics, Customer Management, Supply Chain Planning, Warehouse Operations, Procurement, Finance, IT, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.

Requirements

• Completed junior year of a bachelor's degree, with an anticipated graduation date aligned to the internship program.
• Major or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, documentation, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to learn ERP, WMS, TMS, shipment visibility, reporting, and business intelligence systems.
