2027 Intern – Global Supply Chain – Logistics Specialist

Location: San Diego, California; onsite five days a week. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $22.50–$40.25 per hour, depending on the major or degree and completed academic hours.

What you will do

• Collect, organize, validate, and summarize transportation data from internal systems and carrier reports.
• Analyze freight costs, shipment activity, carrier performance, and service trends across parcel, less-than-truckload, truckload, air, ocean, and intermodal transportation.
• Support dashboards, recurring reports, rate comparisons, freight audits, and carrier data validation.
• Work with logistics and cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve operational issues.
• Support process improvement projects and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Complete an individual supply chain project and present the results to senior supply chain leaders and business partners.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year accredited university or college, or pursuing an advanced degree.
• Preferred fields include supply chain, logistics, business analytics, data analytics, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8/4.0.
• Competence in data analytics, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Diego five days per week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring employer-specific sponsorship are not currently being hired.

Nice to have

• Previous supply chain internship or work experience.
• Leadership involvement in student associations.
• Knowledge of inventory and planning and a basic understanding of manufacturing operations.
• Product and commodity knowledge.
