Supply Chain & Procurement Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Plainville, Connecticut, United States; work includes both office and manufacturing environments.

Salary: $20.53–$41.11 per hour

hirify.global is a public precision-technology company developing instruments, sensors, and subsystems for mission-critical applications. The role supports Gems Setra, a supplier of sensing and monitoring technologies within hirify.global’s Precision Technologies platform.

What you will do

• Support purchasing activities, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, delivery dates, lead times, and material availability.
• Work with purchasing, supply chain, operations, suppliers, and cross-functional partners on assigned improvement projects.
• Support Kanban and Vendor Managed Inventory programs to improve material flow and availability.
• Assist with RFQs, quote comparisons, sourcing activities, and supplier research.
• Collect and analyze purchasing, supplier, inventory, and delivery data; maintain Excel reports and supply chain metrics.
• Prepare project updates, recommendations, data summaries, and presentations for procurement and supply chain leadership.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or MBA degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Anticipated graduation between Winter 2026 and Spring 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to collect and analyze data using Microsoft Excel and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to spend time in office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments and follow required safety and PPE procedures.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and travel as required for assigned work.

• Understanding of purchasing, supply chain, inventory, or manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to Lean, Kanban, Vendor Managed Inventory, or continuous improvement.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
