PC Depot Technician (Windows)

Location: On-site in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, United States; Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM CST

Pay rate: $20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Build, image, configure, test, deploy, maintain, and repair Windows desktops, laptops, workstations, and peripheral devices.
• Install and troubleshoot operating systems, drivers, software applications, enterprise tools, and network connectivity.
• Perform hardware diagnostics, part replacement, equipment inspections, and workstation refresh activities.
• Manage receiving, deployment, inventory tracking, refresh, retirement, shipping, and receiving for technology assets.
• Maintain deployment logs, inventory records, maintenance plans, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation.
• Provide user orientation and technical support while collaborating with IT support teams, asset managers, logistics personnel, and end users.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 2–3 years of experience in desktop support, PC systems support, computer deployment, depot operations, hardware support, or equivalent technical training.
• Hands-on experience imaging, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Windows-based workstations and laptops.
• Knowledge of computer systems, desktop hardware, peripherals, operating systems, networking fundamentals, endpoint security, and data privacy.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, communication, customer service, organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois during first-shift CST hours.
• Experience with ticketing systems, technical documentation, knowledge management, inventory tracking, and equipment lifecycle processes.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or related IT certification.
• Depot imaging, workstation deployment, hardware staging, or computer deployment experience.
