Location: San Mateo, California, or remote within the continental United States, Hawaii, and Canada only

Salary: $77,600–$87,300 USD annually in the United States; $104,862–$117,969 CAD annually in Canada

What you will do

• Create high-quality K–12 assessment content for elementary ELA grades 3–5 using established blueprints.
• Ensure assessment items align with state standards and item development best practices.
• Use and improve content and item management systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and assessment content teams.
• Develop innovative and interactive item types enabled by AI technologies.

Requirements

• Experience developing assessments for grades 3–5 ELA.
• At least 2 years of classroom experience teaching elementary school ELA.
• Deep expertise in pedagogy and state and national standards.
• Experience contributing to collaborative, time-sensitive projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication, attention to detail, time management, and project management skills.
• Interest in using AI tools as assistants in content creation and willingness to learn new tools.

Nice to have

• Middle school assessment development experience.
