Research Chemist (Semiconductor)

Location: Totowa, New Jersey, United States; travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Base pay: $106,000–$155,467 annually.

What you will do

• Lead development of chemical analyzers for process fluids used in semiconductor manufacturing, from early research through commercialization.
• Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for chemical measurement, process monitoring, and advanced process control.
• Plan and execute laboratory experiments, analyze complex data, and communicate findings through technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams to design, develop, test, and launch analyzer systems.
• Troubleshoot products, maintain technical documentation, and provide ongoing product support.
• Author scientific publications, patents, technical papers, and conference presentations.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or a related scientific discipline, or a master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Experience developing and validating laboratory-based analytical methods.
• Hands-on experience with electrochemical techniques, including cyclic and stripping voltammetry.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation, experimental design, and statistical data analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex analytical data and communicate technical recommendations effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced R&D environment.

• Experience developing analytical instruments, sensors, or measurement systems for industrial, semiconductor, chemical, or related applications.
