Salary: $88,000–$110,000 for Sr. Associate Scientist I; $102,000–$128,000 for Sr. Associate Scientist II.

What you will do

• Execute parallel synthetic chemistry experiments for compound library campaigns.
• Refine synthetic methods and standard procedures to improve experimental success and project impact.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory automation, liquid handling, analytical, and purification equipment.
• Adapt bench-scale synthetic routes to automation-compatible, high-throughput processes with senior chemists and cross-functional partners.
• Record, organize, analyze, and communicate experimental and compound library data.
• Identify process bottlenecks and contribute to solutions supporting laboratory safety and business continuity.

Requirements

• MS in Organic Chemistry with 3+ years of experience, or BS in Organic Chemistry with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong foundation in modern organic synthetic methods.
• Direct experience with High Throughput Chemistry and/or Parallel Synthesis.
• Familiarity with laboratory automation, liquid handling robotics, and automated analytical and purification systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a collaborative research environment.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Diego Headquarters.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Direct-to-Biology strategies for drug discovery.
• Familiarity with medicinal chemistry principles.
