Payroll Analyst

What you will do

• Process semimonthly U.S. payroll, including wages, deductions, benefits, garnishments, levies, and voluntary deductions, across multiple states in Workday.
• Prepare standard federal, state, and local payroll tax filings, including Forms 941, 940, W-2, and W-3, and reconcile tax liabilities with the general ledger.
• Research routine payroll tax notices and agency correspondence, escalating complex compliance issues to senior payroll or tax staff.
• Coordinate day-to-day payroll processing with international payroll providers and audit pay accuracy before disbursement.
• Partner with HR, Legal, and Finance on multi-state and multi-country payroll matters.
• Use Excel and AI-powered payroll tools for validation, reconciliation, reporting, and anomaly detection.

Requirements

• 2+ years of U.S. payroll processing experience.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax rules, including FICA, FUTA, SUTA, and withholding.
• Experience with Workday, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Streamline/Celergo, UKG, or a similar major payroll platform.
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, for reconciliations and reporting.
• A combination of relevant education and experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• CPP certification or an international payroll equivalent is preferred.

Nice to have

• Exposure to international payroll processes and in-country payroll providers or EORs.
• Experience working with One Source Virtual or a similar payroll service provider.
• Comfort using AI-powered tools for payroll validation and reconciliation.
