Senior HR Consultant (HR Tech)

Location: Hybrid role based in the New York City office, United States

Salary: $121,000–$151,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide strategic HR guidance to assigned customers, including assessments, action plans, handbook reviews, compliance guidance, and HR program development.
• Act as the primary customer contact, explain HR best practices, and develop practical solutions for complex HR questions.
• Coach and mentor HR Consultants and provide quality-assurance feedback.
• Create HR content, tools, and customer experiences, including compliance newsletters, webinars, and learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, Revenue, and other teams on employment legislation and customer support strategies.
• Optimize team efficiency, including the integration of AI tools, while managing longer-term projects and deadlines.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or Employee Relations Manager.
• Experience handling compliance across multiple US states.
• At least one HR certification required: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
• If not already certified, obtain the certification within the first six months; financial support is provided.
• Ability to explain complex HR and compliance concepts clearly and work with sensitive customer matters professionally and compassionately.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, consulting, SaaS, or PEO environments.
• Global HR experience.
• Fluency in additional languages, especially Spanish.
