Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer (Oil & Gas): Leading instrumentation and control engineering for onshore gas processing facilities, pipelines, and wellhead systems throughout the FEED lifecycle with an accent on functional safety, control systems integration, and technical assurance. Focus on developing Safety Requirement Specifications, validating safety instrumented functions, coordinating multidisciplinary design, and resolving complex engineering risks across brownfield and greenfield projects.

What you will do
- Lead all Instrumentation & Control engineering activities for onshore gas processing facilities, pipelines, and wellhead systems across the FEED lifecycle.
- Own discipline deliverables, execution strategies, work plans, schedules, resource forecasts, technical integrity, and team performance.
- Lead and mentor engineers and designers while coordinating with project management, clients, operations teams, vendors, and other disciplines.
- Review and approve instrumentation indexes, I/O lists, datasheets, specifications, requisitions, control philosophies, system architecture documents, and engineering drawings.
- Lead brownfield modifications, debottlenecking studies, facility upgrades, control system migrations, design reviews, and technical assurance activities.
- Direct functional safety activities, including SRS development, SIL studies, SIF reviews, and closure of HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, CHAZOP, and cybersecurity recommendations.
Requirements
- At least 16 years of Instrumentation & Control engineering experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, LNG, or energy sectors.
- At least 6 years in a Lead Engineer, Senior Lead Engineer, or equivalent leadership role.
- Experience delivering onshore brownfield and greenfield projects across FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, and PMC environments.
- Experience with onshore gas wellhead systems, gas processing facilities, and related infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electronics & Communication Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of SIS, DCS, ESD, FGS, PLC, RTU, SCADA, hazardous-area classification, IECEx/ATEX, and international engineering standards.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications in instrumentation, automation, or functional safety, such as ISA, TUV FSE, EXIDA, or IEC certifications.
