Surveyor

Location: All locations in the United States; field work and 25%-50% overnight travel required.

What you will do

• Conduct and coordinate land surveys for pipeline route selection, site acquisitions, pipeline integrity, construction, and as-built documentation.
• Determine precise land locations, measurements, boundaries, facilities, and survey control points.
• Coordinate third-party surveyors, monitor performance and quality, and report project progress and schedule variances.
• Communicate with engineering teams, project stakeholders, business partners, and contracted resources to clarify technical needs and priorities.
• Research survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical records, and other sources to complete surveys.
• Support the resolution of disputes and claims while managing multiple survey assignments and deadlines.

Requirements

• NCEES Fundamentals of Surveying certification or Land Surveyor in Training certification, plus education requirements for PLS licensing.
• 4+ years of relevant land surveying experience.
• Experience with Trimble survey equipment, Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, NOAA OPUS, Microsoft Office, and GIS surveying technology.
• Practical knowledge of survey control, boundary recovery, topographic surveying, construction staking, as-built methodologies, and pipeline construction methods.
• Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, organizational, and independent working skills.
• Valid driver's license, insurability under company policy, and availability for 25%-50% overnight travel are required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a similar field.
• Leadership experience.
• Experience with utility transmission route surveying.
• Interest in developing specialized land surveying knowledge and keeping current with survey equipment and software.
