Survey Technician II

Location: Mentor, Ohio, United States; fieldwork may require remote locations and rugged terrain

Salary: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Conduct field surveys to collect data on land features, boundaries, and topography.
• Operate, maintain, set up, and calibrate total stations, GPS units, levels, and other survey equipment.
• Accurately record and document survey data.
• Assist with preparing survey reports, maps, and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with survey standards and project specifications.
• Communicate findings to the Survey Crew Chief or Lead Surveyor and follow field safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and in remote locations or rugged terrain.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
